It's already been two weeks drinking Soylent as my only food source.  While there was a lot to report at week one, week two has been just the opposite.  I haven't had any hunger issues.  My energy levels have been good and steady.  My sleep has been great.  Everything is steady as she goes.

My daughter did say to me last night, "Dad, you're not grumpy anymore at night now that you're drinking Soylent."  I said, "Are you telling me I used to be grumpy?"  She said, "You sure were; you were tired and didn't want to be bothered.  Now you're full of energy, talkative, and really fun."

Who knew?  I didn't even notice the change.  I just know that I feel better.  I must say, I'm liking this Soylent lifestyle.  I can't wait to see what the next weeks and months bring!

  1. Are you finding yourself craving solid foods? Do you crave them when you smell/see them? What differences are you finding in your stool? Have you been ingesting only Soylent and water?

    1. Hi Jade,
I do not crave solid foods...unless someone is doing a BBQ. That's a little tempting. The crazy thing is my sense of smell is heightened a lot! However, the smell of good cooking doesn't have the same power over me. Most foods just seem too greasy to me now.

Stool? Hmm...baby soft, very different. I might increase my fiber a little.

Yes, I'm drinking just Soylent with water, and I will have a cup of herbal tea now and again.

  2. Glad to hear all is going so well for you. I was shocked how quickly my food cravings disappeared when I started, it was amazing.

    Keep calm and soylent on.

  3. Thanks for the updates. I am anxiously awaiting my month's supply of Soylent 1.0.

Just curious - you said your sleep was better. If you don't mind me asking, has it affected your dreaming? I read a post from another DIYer that the first week his sleep also got better, but his dreams chanaged significantly. Just curious. Thanks.

    1. Nothing new on the dreamscape yet...but I'll be on the lookout.
